A roll of the dice picks part of your day — where to eat or what mission to try. Even your host won't know the exact plan until the dice decide, but all options are prepared in advance.
An English-speaking Japanese host shows you their favorite cafés, shopping streets, shrines and izakaya — places that are easy to miss on your own.
Everything is planned to keep the day safe, realistic and fun. Prefer to set your own route? Choose the Custom Local Plan instead.
02 — CHOOSE YOUR STYLE
Let the dice decide part of your local Tokyo experience, such as where to eat or what mission to try. The classic Tokyo Dice Adventure format.
Already have places you want to visit? Your Japanese host can join you for 3 hours and help you explore, order food, shop, move around, and enjoy the area like a local friend.
Both styles are the same price: US$100 / 3 hours. Dice Adventure is our main format — if you prefer, you can choose the Custom Local Plan instead.
03 — HOW IT WORKS
Even your host won't know the exact plan until the dice decide — but all options are prepared to keep the experience safe, realistic, and fun. If you already have places you want to visit, you can choose the Custom Local Plan instead.

Meet at the agreed station. Quick hello, a short preference check, and a passport check for identity verification.
Your host rolls. The number picks the first stop from a set of options prepared for the vibe you chose in advance.
Cafés, shopping streets, a neighborhood shrine, a local izakaya. Your host translates, helps you order, and shares stories. Want to follow something you spot? Just say so.
Three hours later, you've seen a side of Tokyo most visitors miss — plus photos and a list of places to remember.
04 — PICK YOUR VIBE
You can choose the style of your Dice Adventure in advance. On the day, we'll still use the dice — but the options will be adjusted based on your preferred vibe. You'll pick your style in the application form.
Full surprise. Food and missions are picked from a wide, random range.
Curious but easygoing. Retro cafés, shrines, shopping streets, and slow neighborhood walks.
Active and playful. Arcades, purikura, gachapon, lively streets, and a few quirky missions.
For food lovers. Local eats, izakaya culture, shopping-street bites, kissaten, and set meals.
Classic Japan. Shrines, visiting manners, old townscapes, and traditional spots.

05 — PRICE
This is a discounted beta price for early participants. In exchange for the beta price, we may ask you to share honest feedback after the experience and answer a short survey.
On the day, the guest covers the host's basic expenses during the experience, such as local transportation, food, drinks, entrance fees, and activity costs.
Please budget around ¥3,000–¥6,000 extra depending on the route and activities.

Tokyo Dice Adventure is a local cultural exchange experience with a Japanese host.
Hosts cannot be selected by gender or age. We match guests with a host based on availability, communication style, interests, location, and safety.
Since this is a beta test, host availability is limited. We will do our best to match you with a suitable host, but we cannot guarantee a specific host profile.
A valid passport is required. Please be ready to show and submit your passport for identity verification before or at the start of the experience.
